Aerial Arts Training
Aerial Arts training is the most exciting and empowering way to get in shape while building stamina, strength and flexibility. People of all levels of strength can begin the practice of aerial training and is open to beginners through advanced students who want to practice existing technique or learn the basics.
Each session will focus on safety, proper form and alignment, technique and conditioning while utilizing aerial apparatuses like the tissu and lyra, working you from the ground up in a supportive and non competitive environment.
You will be encouraged to work at your optimum pace to maximize your personal level of fitness. In addition to physically increasing your strength, flexibility and balance, you will find yourself soaring to new heights with confidence, courage and a renewed sense of self in mind, body and spirit.
Private, duet and group instruction is available. Privates are tailored to the individuals needs and ability level. Duet sessions are a great way to include a friend while challenging yourself physically. The skill and ability level of the group will be assed, include a warm up and cool down, conditioning and must have a minimum of 3 students, exceed no more than 6 students, and run as a four to six week series. All sessions are pre paid and a 24 hour cancellation policy will be enforced.
Aerial Tissu, also known as silk, is a fabric apparatus that students use to wrap, suspend, drop, swing and spiral their bodies into and out of various positions. Beginners learn the basics like knotting and climbing with a focus on developing good form and safety, eventually advancing to more challenging tricks once strength and flexibility increase. Intermediate and advanced students continue to build on the basics and are taught performance skill, choreography and technique.
Aerial Hoop, also called the LYRA, is a wonderful circus apparatus in which the students learn beautiful maneuvers and shapes while spinning and swinging on a large metal hoop suspended from the air. Beginners start of learning the basics of spinning and ways of getting up and down from the hoop. Eventually the student progresses to harder and more challenging tricks and positions.
