Baby Steps (Gradual)
Push Pilates is the studio to help you through all of your childbearing needs. During the years 2005/2006 the studio was pregnant. Three Pilates teachers and one yoga instructor were all dealing with the special issues that pregnancy bring to the mother that wants to stay active during pregnancy. Trust US! No other studio around has us beat. We know how to prepare a body for childbirth and get you back to your old self after delivery. Push Pilates has classes directed specifically for you and your little one during this special time of life.
Pre-Natal Pilates/Pre-Natal Yoga (Prepare)
Moms-to-Be everywhere have discovered that doing Pilates & Yoga during pregnancy can ease some of the discomforts that go along with pregnancy and labor. The benefits include: pelvic floor strengthening to help with childbirth and bladder control; deep abdominal conditioning of the lower abs to prepare for pushing during labor and speed recovery; breathing and relaxation to master centering throughout the pregnancy and during labor; posture-strengthening exercises to keep strong during labor and keep a positive body-image after birth that will aid in a speedier recovery. Invigorate through our practice, connect with yourself and your unborn child and prepare for the journey through birth and into motherhood.
Stroller-Lates (Roll)
A special program designed by Val Russell for new moms who want to get fit in the outdoors and involve their kids at the same time! Join Val & Porter as they "stroll" to a stronger mind and body. Coming Fall 2006 when weather cools.
Mommy & Me Pilates/ Yoga (Bond)
New moms have a lot on their minds, and fitness may be at the bottom of the list. Push: Mommy and Me Pilates and Yoga classes can help them regain balance and focus in their lives while bonding with their new child. This stimulating and refreshing post-natal workout will help new moms of all fitness levels return to optimal health and fitness by combining cardiovascular, strength and pelvic floor exercises and flexibility movements.
