Scott’s love of Pilates began when she was living in New York after
college. An avid runner, she has completed two marathons: The St. Jude Memphis
Marathon in December 2004 and The New York City Marathon in November 2005.
The tight hamstrings and hip flexors that resulted from running led her to
Pilates. Having been a dancer since childhood, she longed for the days when
she could actually touch her toes in a forward fold. Hoping Pilates would
bring flexibility back into her life, she continued practicing after her move
to Memphis in June 2005. Soon after, she began the Push Pilates Immersion
program and decided to jump into the Teacher Training program with both feet.
