Intro to Pilates: Essential for anyone new to Pilates or anyone recovering from injuries. Discover the basic techniques and terminology of Pilates including breath, alignment and strength training. Students will establish core strength and stability, develop longer, leaner muscles and spark their mind/body awareness. Level 1 Pilates: Ideal for mixed-level beginners or for the experienced students that want to re-establish their cores. Dynamic, full-body workouts will increase knowledge, stamina and flexibility while strengthening the Core and stretching and toning all muscle groups. Level 2 Pilates: For students who have the basics down and are prepared for a more challenging practice. Each exercise progression will strengthen the Core muscles that support the spine and tone the abdominals, as well as, workout the back, arms, legs and buttocks. Additionally, the students' knowledge and understanding of the Pilates principles will grow stronger, too. Level 3 Pilates: For seasoned Pilates students only, this intense practice will progress committed students to a higher level of skill and a deeper level of understanding. Exercises requiring advanced stamina, strength, flexibility and coordination will be practiced to achieve tension release, deep core development and body/mind connectedness. Ball Class: Balance, tone and strengthen your core, back, buttocks, chest and arms with the Pilates 65cm Physioball. Utilize the principles of core control and stabilization with the challenge of rolling instability to efficiently improve your coordination and awareness of motion. Deep Stretch: Varied Pilates, Yoga and self-relaxation techniques that release muscular tension and increase joint mobility Yoga (Vinyasa,"Flow"yoga): A mix of postures synced with breath and fluid movement. Increases balance, stamina and flexibility while steadying the mind. Yoga is a perfect compliment for your Pilates practice. Group Equipment Classes: These classes utilize the Pilates Reformers and Springboards. The Reformers and Springboards provide a full-body workout. You will work through a choreographed routine of challenging movements to strengthen, stretch and lengthen your body. Four-six students train with an instructor on the Pilates Reformers and Springboards. Four levels of classes are offered: beginning, intermediate, advanced and super advanced. The Classes are pre-register and require a payment in full to reserve a spot in the series. No refunds will be given less than two weeks of the starting date of the class. The equipment classes are a nice opportunity to work closely with an instructor in an intimate setting at great savings in comparison to a private. All Pre-Reg. classes have drop in availability if space permits. Classes that do not fill will be cancelled. Reformer: This class on the Reformer is designed to take you through a series to develop coordination, stability and add resistance to your training. Tower(Springboard): Challenging class on the Tower is designed to take you through a series to develop coordination, stability and add resistance to your training. Slightly more challenging than the Reformer. Pi-Yo: Push Pilates combines the stabilizing and strengthening exercises of Pilates with flexibility, stamina and balance of yoga. Breathing and mindful awareness exercises are incorporated with flowing movement allowing for a unifying effect on mind and body. The class is both energizing and relaxing. Props: If you love toys, our mat with props classes are tons of fun, full of challenge and very exhilarating. Using a combination of portable resistance equipment and unstable surfaces, you will target muscles and build full-body strength and flexibility in a different way each week.
