What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice. Recent popularity has brought yoga to the forefront of the fitness wave. Western cultures focus on one aspect of the practice, the asana (postures) which is a system of physical postures designed to purify the body and to strengthen the body to prepare for long periods of meditation There are actually seven other limbs of yoga.

The limbs of yoga are the yamas (restraints), niyamas (observances), asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), pratyahara (withdrawal of senses), dharana (concentration), dhyani (meditation), and samadhi (absorption).

Our studio honors the traditional foundations of yoga weaving the limbs into our teaching. Exploring these limbs can refine external behavior, imbalances, unwanted habits and help improve inward focus as well as condition and strengthen the body.
